How to Create a New Ad Space

Creating an Ad Space sets up a reserved ad container with strict dimension constraints, rotation sequences, and campaign connections.

To create a new Ad Space, navigate to WordPress Admin > AdFuz > Ad Spaces and click + Add New Ad Space.

The configuration form is divided into 5 structured panels:

1. [ GENERAL ] --> Ad Space Name
2. [ DIMENSIONS & AVAILABILITY ] --> Width (px) x Height (px) + Availability
3. [ DISPLAY SETTINGS ] --> Ad Format + Ad Sequence (Random/Sequential)
4. [ CAMPAIGNS ] --> Linked Campaigns Dropdown + Priority Order
5. [ FALLBACK AD ] --> Default Fallback Creative

  1. General Placement Name Enter an identifiable name representing where the ad will appear (e.g., Header Billboard 970x250 or Single Post Sidebar 300x250).

  2. Define Dimensions (px)

    • Enter the exact Width (e.g. 400 or 728) and Height (e.g. 400 or 90) in pixels.
    • AdFuz uses these dimensions to enforce responsive container bounding boxes, preventing cumulative layout shift (CLS).
  3. Set Slot Availability

    • Availability: Enter the number of ads this space can render concurrently (default is 1).
    • If set to 2 or 3, the ad space renders multiple banner slots side-by-side or stacked in a grid.
  4. Choose Display Settings

    • Ad Format: Select Banner (standard in-page placement) or specialized layout formats.
    • Ad Sequence: Choose Random Order (rotates evenly on page load) or Sequential Order.
  5. Link Target Campaigns

    • In the Linked Campaigns dropdown, select the campaign(s) you wish to serve in this space.
    • Click the blue + Add button.
    • Multiple campaigns will participate in rotation based on their flight schedules.
  6. Assign Fallback Ad (Recommended) Select a permanent fallback ad from the dropdown to guarantee 100% fill rate if no linked campaigns are currently active.

  7. Set Ad Space Status & Save In the right sidebar under AD SPACE STATUS, choose Active and click the blue Create Ad Space button.
