How to Configure Global Popup Ads

Popup Ads render a focused lightbox modal dialog in front of your page content after a specified time delay or upon page load, driving high conversion for special offers, newsletters, and announcements.

To configure Popup Ads, go to WordPress Admin > AdFuz > Global Ads and click Edit Settings on the Popup card.


Each Popup Rule contains the following targeting, scheduling, and styling controls:

  • Ad Space: Select the assigned popup placement zone (e.g., Global Popup Space (ID: 7)).
  • Priority: Numerical ranking (e.g. 10). If multiple popup rules match a page, the rule with the highest priority is rendered.
  • Status: Set to ● Active or Inactive.
  • Targeting Scope: Scope rules to All Pages, specific Post Categories, Custom Post Types, or Homepage only.

Customize the visual appearance of your modal without touching any CSS code:

  1. Navigate to AdFuz > Global Ads > Popup > Edit Settings.
  2. Select your target Ad Space (e.g. Global Popup Space (ID: 7)).
  3. Set your desired Trigger Delay (e.g. 3 to 5 seconds gives visitors time to view content before the popup appears).
  4. Set Overlay Opacity (e.g., 60% dims background content effectively).
  5. Ensure Status is set to Active.
  6. Click the blue Save Settings button in the right sidebar.
