MaxMind GeoLite2 Configuration

AdFuz uses the industry-standard MaxMind GeoLite2 City/Country database to resolve visitor IP addresses into geographic locations for localized ad targeting and Country Analytics.

To configure GeoLite2, go to WordPress Admin > AdFuz > Settings and select the GeoLite2 tab.

Enable GeoLite2 Geo-Targeting Toggle (ON) Activates on-premise IP-to-country resolution for campaigns and stats.
MaxMind Account ID 123456 Your numerical MaxMind portal account ID.
MaxMind License Key AbCdEf123456... Free standard GeoLite2 download license key.
GeoLite2 Database Path .../uploads/geolite2/GeoLite2-City.mmdb Absolute server filepath where .mmdb binary is stored.
Auto-Update Database Toggle (ON) Automatically downloads fresh weekly databases via WP Cron.
Update Day Wednesday Day of week for cron updates (MaxMind releases updates on Tuesdays).

How to Set Up Free MaxMind GeoLite2

  1. Create Free MaxMind Account Visit MaxMind Signup and create a free account.

  2. Generate a License Key Go to your MaxMind Portal under Manage License Keys > Generate New License Key. Choose Yes for GeoIP Update compatibility.

  3. Input Credentials in AdFuz Go to AdFuz > Settings > GeoLite2, enter your MaxMind Account ID and License Key.

  4. Download Database Click the blue Save & Download Database button. AdFuz will automatically download, unpack, and verify the GeoLite2-City.mmdb database on your server.
