Managing Campaign Ads & Fallback Creatives

A high-performing campaign rarely relies on a single banner. AdFuz allows you to attach multiple creatives to a campaign, manage rotation priorities, and configure emergency fallback ads.

When editing a campaign in AdFuz > Campaigns > Edit Campaign:

  1. Open the Add Ads dropdown.
  2. Select the ad creative you wish to attach.
  3. Click the + Add button. The ad is added to the active rotation pool.

Attached creatives display with a drag handle icon ():

  • Click and hold the drag handle next to any ad (e.g. 160x600 - 1 #1).
  • Drag the item up or down to adjust its serving sequence or priority.
  • Click the gray Trash (Delete) icon on the right side of the specific ad row.
  • This immediately removes the ad from this campaign’s rotation without deleting the underlying creative from the Ads Manager.

A Fallback Ad is a guaranteed, always-available creative served when:

  • The main campaign schedule has expired.
  • Geo-targeting or device-targeting criteria are not met for the current visitor.
  • External third-party ad networks (like AdSense) fail to return an ad (no-fill scenario).
  1. In the campaign editor, scroll to the Fallback Ad dropdown.
  2. Select a universal ad creative (e.g. a generic brand banner, self-promotion, or house ad).
  3. Click Update Campaign.
