How to Configure Exit-Intent Popups

Exit-Intent Popups track cursor movement patterns to detect when a visitor is about to close the tab, switch windows, or navigate away. When triggered, a high-converting recovery modal appears with a special discount, lead magnet, or last-chance offer.

Navigate to WordPress Admin > AdFuz > Global Ads and click Edit Settings on Exit Popup.

  • Desktop Devices: AdFuz monitors the mouse vector. When the cursor moves rapidly toward the top viewport boundary (Y <= 0), indicating an intent to close the tab or type a new URL, the exit modal instantly triggers.
  • Mobile Devices: On touch devices where cursor tracking is unavailable, exit intent is evaluated when a visitor rapidly scrolls upward or triggers a browser back button event.
