AI & Creative Settings

AdFuz includes a native AI Ad Engine capable of generating high-converting ad copy, responsive HTML/CSS banner cards, commercial banner graphics, video scripts, and automated 1-click campaign placements.

To configure your AI provider and default generation parameters, navigate to WordPress Admin > AdFuz > Settings > AI Settings.

The AI settings page is organized into two primary sections:

  1. API Credentials: Connect your Google Gemini or OpenAI account, view live status badges (● Key Configured or ● Key Missing), and verify credentials with the connection tester.
  2. Generation Defaults: Choose your preferred copywriting model, default marketing tone of voice, and standard banner dimensions.

1. Supported AI Providers

AdFuz natively supports both Google Gemini (with a generous free tier) and OpenAI:

Google Gemini (Free Copywriting Tier)

Google Gemini is the default recommended provider in AdFuz. It allows publishers to generate unlimited headlines, persuasive body copy, responsive HTML/CSS banners, and video storyboard outlines 100% free of charge.

  • Free Tier Rate Limits: Up to 15 requests per minute and 1,500 requests per day with zero cost and no credit card required.
  • Supported Copywriting Models:
    • gemini-3.6-flash Recommended: Ultra-fast generation speed with high-converting marketing copy.
    • gemini-2.5-flash: Lightweight, low-latency copywriting model.
    • gemini-2.5-pro: Advanced reasoning model for complex copywriting prompts.
  • Banner Graphic Generation: Uses Google Imagen. Note that Google sets the free tier image quota to 0. To generate AI graphic creatives directly through Gemini, enable Pay-As-You-Go billing in Google AI Studio or use OpenAI (DALL-E 3).

How to Get a Free Google Gemini API Key:

  1. Visit Google AI Studio (aistudio.google.com/app/apikey).
  2. Sign in with your Google account.
  3. Click Create API Key and select or create a Google Cloud project.
  4. Copy your API key (starts with AIzaSy...).
  5. Paste it into AdFuz > Settings > AI Settings > Gemini API Key and click Test Connection.

  • Masked Storage: Once saved, your API key is encrypted and securely stored in WordPress options. The interface displays a masked placeholder (************) to protect your credentials from shoulder-surfing.
  • Visibility Toggle: Click the eye icon () to reveal or conceal the key.
  • Live Connection Test: Click the Test Connection button before saving. AdFuz sends a lightweight ping to the provider endpoint and displays an instant validation status.

  • Rectangles & Squares: 300×250 (Medium Rectangle - Most Popular), 336×280, 300×300, 250×250, 200×200, 100×100.
  • Leaderboards & Horizontal: 728×90 (Leaderboard), 970×250 (Billboard), 970×90, 468×60, 320×50 (Mobile Leaderboard), 320×100.
  • Skyscrapers & Vertical: 160×600 (Wide Skyscraper), 120×600, 300×600 (Half Page).
  • Social & High Definition: 1080×1080 (HD Square), 1200×628 (Feed Display), 1080×1920 (Vertical Story).
  • Video Players: 640×360 (16:9 Standard), 1280×720 (16:9 HD), 1080×1920 (9:16 Vertical), 600×600 (1:1 Square).
